Joe Gomez, Director of Verizon Wireless BamaJam Music Festival, has been with the festival for 16 months and attended the first festival as a patron. Joe and Scotty Cox discussed the improvements to BamaJam year over year and its economic impact on the surrounding area.

MAY 5, 2010

Dr. Jeff Spurlock, Associate Director of Hall School of Journalism and Communication, and Associate Professor of Broadcast Journalism at Troy University spoke at the May meeting about Troy's excellent program.

APRIL 7, 2010

Dr. Lance Kinney's program -- Martha White Flour, Lester Flatt & Earl Scruggs and the 'Rize' of Bluegrass Music -- was a huge hit with members and guests at the April meeting.

JANUARY 6, 2010

Mike Riddle on Social Marketing. For the past year, Mike has worked in conjunction with Crayonville in NYC as an emerging media trainer for Panasonic. His primary responsibility has been to educate families on the power and the value of social media in order to facilitate a stronger online presence for Panasonic. He is also working closely with WTVY News 4, guiding and educating the on-air staff and account executives as they build and maintain a professional social media presence. Prior to this he was a talent scout for ad agencies across the country where he trained on and utilized aggressive social media tactics in order to connect with clients and prospects.

Kim Allen with WDHN-TV18 chaired the Pet Supply Drive for Save-A-Pet.  AAF-Dothan collected 160 pounds of pet food plus many pet supplies and cash donations!
