Our membership includes a variety of businesses that are in some way directly or indirectly connected to the "advertising world." From creatives to account representatives we definitely have a place for everyone! Meetings are held once a month at lunch and feature a variety of speaking topics. The meetings are a great way to catch up with the latest in the industry as well as network with businesses in the Dothan area. AAF‐Dothan is active in events that help better the community, socials to catch up in a more laid back atmosphere and of course, the annual ADDY® Awards! What does AAF-Dothan offer?

As the local chapter for the national trade association, the American Advertising Federation
(AAF), AAF‐Dothan’s mission is to protect and promote the well‐being of the advertising industry
in the Wiregrass area. We do this by:

• Bringing members together to exchange ideas and network with peers to yield creative business solutions.
• Educating members on the latest trends in technology, creativity and marketing through informative speakers at monthly meetings and seminars..
• Providing professional development programs to members.
• Creative recognition honoring advertising excellence through the annual Pioneer Award and AAF‐Dothan's annual ADDY Awards program.
• Nurturing the industry’s future leaders through student scholarships, community outreach projects and public service campaigns.
• Fundraising through annual Media Auction where donated media is auctioned off at rock-bottom prices. This event funds our scholarships.
• Protection of your advertising interests both in Alabama and in the nation’s capital through the American Advertising Federation, the lobbying arm of the industry.
• AAF‐Dothan members are automatically members of the American Advertising Federation, entitling them to special discounts and services.
• Social events offering the opportunity to meet other advertising, marketing and communications people.

 

How do I join?

Contact our president (Cary Hatcher) or our membership chairman (Patrick Liester), and they will
take care of you. They will give you an application and answer any questions you might have.

Named as a sponsor of the AADYs at banquet and in program. 8 complimentary tickets (reserved table) to the ADDYs award gala. SILVER CORPORATE $750 per year ($1,240 value)	Includes 3 transferable memberships. Any of 3 to qualify to serve on the Board of Directors. Company link and logo on AAF‐Dothan Web site. FULL ASSOCIATE $100 per year	Limited to new members, academic members, non‐profit members, young professional members and previous members returning after a minimum of 2 years absence. Listed as associate member on Web site. Lunches to be paid as attending at $15 per regular meeting. Limited to maximum of 2 years at this rate with exception of academic and non‐profit. Discount on ADDY entries.
PARTIAL ASSOCIATE $30 per year	Membership for persons whose business is outside the dominant Southeast Alabama area or a retired advertising professionals. Listed as associate member on Web site. Lunches to be paid as attending at $15 per meeting.
STUDENT $50 per year	Students majoring in an advertising related field such as marketing, public relations, journalism or graphic design. Listed as student member on Web site. Lunches to be paid as attending at $15 per regular meeting.
AD GRAD Free	Offered to young professionals who have graduated from college within the past 12 months holding a degree in an advertising‐related field. Listed as Ad Grad member on Web site. Lunches to be paid as attending at $15 per meeting.

Do I have to be a member to attend?

No. Although we would love to have you join us as a member, our meetings are always open to all guests who wish to attend and pay for the buffet lunch and program ($15.00). Many members have attended meetings for several months as guests before making the decision to join.
